Participant Directions to the Lab
The Usability Lab is located on the basement level of Walter Library on the Northrop Mall on the East Bank of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Walter Library is located at 117 Pleasant Street SE and can be reached either from Pleasant St. or from Northrop Mall.

Driving Map
From the North (I-35W Southbound)
Take I-35W South to the University Avenue exit. After exiting, cross 4th Street SE (one set of lights) to University Avenue. Go left onto University Avenue, and continue on University Avenue until you reach 17th Avenue/Church Street (Church Street sign will be on the right). Go right onto Church Street. After the stop sign, the Church Street Garage is ahead on your right. Exit on foot, then look for Walter Library as shown in walking directions below. If you are a participant in a usability session, bring your parking stub to the reception room in B18 Walter Library.
From the South (I-35W Northbound)
Take I-35W North to the University Avenue exit. After exiting, go right onto University Avenue. You should see a BP gas station on your right. Continue on University Avenue until you reach 17th Avenue/Church Street (Church Street sign will be on the right). Turn right onto Church Street. After the stop sign, the Church Street Garage is ahead on your right. Exit on foot, then look for Walter Library as shown in walking directions below. If you are a participant in a usability session, bring your parking stub to the reception room in B18 Walter Library.
From the East (I-94 Westbound)
Take I-94 West to the Huron Boulevard Exit. Merge onto Huron Boulevard. Continue on Huron Boulevard until you reach University Avenue. Turn left onto University Avenue. Turn left onto University Avesue (You will pass TCF Bank Stadium on your right). Turn right at Oak Street. Shortly after that turn, the road will curve left and become 4th St. SE (you will pass Mariucci Arena on your right). Continue on 4th Street until 17th Avenue. Turn left onto 17th Avenue SE. At the intersection of 17th Avenue and University Avenue, continue straight. 17th Avenue will now become Church Street. After the stop sign, the Church Street Garage is ahead on your right. Exit on foot, then look for Walter Library as shown in walking directions below. If you are a participant in a usability session, bring your parking stub to the reception room in B18 Walter Library.
From the West (I-94 Eastbound)

Walking Directions
Walter Library is located on the west side of Northrop Mall, between Johnston Hall and Smith Hall. The mall is situated between Church Street, Pleasant Street, and Washington Avenue. You can enter Walter Library from Northrop Mall, or from Pleasant Street (which has a wheelchair-accessible ramp).
Take the mall-side elevator to the basement level in Walter, and look for our reception room in B-18. B-18 is on the main hall in the north end of the building.
