The Campus Quest CD-ROM is divided into two different case study experiences, the 'Field X-28 dilemma' and 'Campus Wetlands.' Upon launch, students are required to select the case they wish to explore.
Although the flow schematic below may be too large to fit -- in its entirety -- in your browser window, the depth of the material delivered on the Campus Quest CD, the dictates of readability that require us to devote a relatively large proportion of our screen real estate to captions, and the cognitive advantages of being able to visualize an entire content pathway in a single window have led us to accept the necessity of using the horizontal and vertical scrollbars to traverse the clickstream; we apologize for any inconvenience.
Clicking on a thumbnail image will open a full-size screenshot in a new window; simply click in the window's 'close' box when you are through to return to this screen. When you are finished exploring 'Clickstream #4,' simply click here to close this window.

Step 2.0The Campus Wetlands case opens with two video briefings concerning this case, the first from the students' 'client,' Eric Kruse, University of Minnesota Vice President for University Services. Step 2.2Like the X-28 case, the Campus Wetlands scenario will have a complete set of background materials describing the current state of the wetlands and the issues involved in their reclamation. For the moment, however, the Campus Quest team have concentrated on developing the interactive portion of this case -- 'Implement Your Solution.' Upon entering the simulation, students are first asked to set their policy priorities. Step 2.3Having set their preference orderings, students are then asked to select a development option. (click here or on the thumbnail to open a 95K screenshot in a new window -- approx. 0.5 minutes over a 28.8 baud modem) |

Step 2.5The Campus Quest team provides a 'visual glossary' as an aid to student budget development -- if a student doesn't know what is meant by a 'large storm overflow pond,' he or she can click on the icon next to that selection for an example.
