Hybrid Learning in Occupational Therapy
DMC research consultants are partnering with Professor Patricia Schaber of the Program in Occupational Therapy (OT) to evaluate the transition of the OT post-professional master’s program from a traditional format to a hybrid model incorporating both face-to-face and distance-education components. The intent of this change is that early-stage students will benefit from a hybrid curriculum as they acquire foundational knowledge at home, while more advanced students will benefit from increased face-to-face learning with practical application of the content mastered through instructional technologies.
The evaluation of this project will focus on the effectiveness of faculty development programs in helping faculty members to cope with sudden technology-enhanced curricular change.
