Sponsored by the Office of the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost and the Office of Information Technology (OIT), the Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL) Grant Program has funded 127 grants since 1999, affecting faculty and instructional staff members from 21 colleges and administrative units and 3 coordinate campuses.

The program is administered by the TEL Council and managed by Academic Computing, OIT, and the Digital Media Center (DMC), OIT.

Who

Full-time University of Minnesota instructors developing substantial educational technology projects are eligible for TEL grant funding. See the Call for Proposals linked from this page each January for details on program eligibility requirements.

What

TEL grant recipients develop, implement, and evaluate an educational technology project and discuss their work with fellow grant recipients and members of the larger University community in a regular program of cohort meetings and public events.

Why

TEL grant recipients are awarded substantial funding and receive support from DMC consultants and a cohort of fellow grant recipients.

How

Recipients attend several meetings and events over a year beginning each April.
