William Riley
William Riley is an associate professor of health care finance and management in the Division of Health Services Research and Policy in the School of Public Health. He has developed a WebCT course in health care management that has been offered for distance education during two summers. The course has filled an important need for distance education opportunities for the public health workforce. He received a Charles N. Hewitt Creative Teaching Award from the School of Public Health in 2003.

Fellowship Project
Riley plans to develop a WebCT-delivered distance education health care finance course and use at least one learner tool that will help create a sense of community for people in different locations. He expects that the educational impact will be the development of new learner tools and that he will become a resource for other faculty members.
