Learning Platform and Digital Campus Initiative

In this session Sandra Ecklein, Shane Nackerud and Bob Rubinyi will discuss the Learning Platform integrating course management systems including Vista, Moodle, and UMConnect; student services information; collaboration tools including wikis, blogs, polls, and discussion boards; news feeds; detailed course information; and e-mail--and displaying them in a personalized, user customizable format. The Platform's myLibrary application provides cutting edge features including suggested bibliographic resources based on class schedule, major, or faculty specialization; user customizable lists of favorite sources; and up-to-date reports on library resources that are checked out. Following will be a demonstration of the Digital Campus Initiative website, serving as the gateway to all of the University's digital and distributed educational offerings, from online credit courses to personal and professional development opportunities, available any time, anywhere.
