Jerry Shannon (Post Secondary Teaching and Learning), Tim Gustafson (English), and Colin McFadden (CLA Technology) will talk about creative uses of blogs and podcasts in the classroom.
WebCT Vista allows the integration of courses with other systems through "powerlinks." The current installation of Vista provides five such links, including a link to Turnitin for plagiarism protection, and four links to a suite of Wimba asynchronous and synchronous voice tools. Jenise Rowekamp and Pablo Viedma (CLA Language Center) and Cris Lopez (Digital Media Center) will give demonstrations of how to access and use these tools in your classes, followed by a discussion of pedagogical advantages.
