Amie Hauer
Learning Technologies Coordinator
I work as a learning technologies coordinator at the Carlson School of Management. I am a Collegiate Information Technology Professional (CITP) program with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) at the University of Minnesota. As part of UMN OIT, I work with the Digital Media Center group and am a member of the Academic Technology Advisory Committee (ATAC).
At the Carlson School, I provide support for learning technologies, such as WebVista and Moodle, and the Carlson LMS system. An example of a non-technology learning tool option is IF-AT “scratch-off” forms. I am a local contact for student response systems, also known as “clickers.” In general, I provide support with pedagogical and technical perspectives in a variety of learning situations. My goal is active learning strategies that engage learners in multiple situations and through various learning channels.
Background
My Masters is in Software Systems. I am currently a PhD student in the University of Minnesota’s Learning Technologies program. In my work at the University of Minnesota, I am interested in how information technologies have become embedded to learning the way information technologies have become an important part of business and everyday situations.
