Office of Information Technology

Keith Brown

Senior Educational Technology Consultant

I began working for the Digital Media Center in June of 2006. My current projects include the following:

  • Co-lead for the student Web Core production group
  • Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) Grant program
  • Digital Teaching Workshop
  • Various projects as a member of the Emerging Technologies Group in the DMC
  • Audio and video consultations

Before coming to the Digital Media Center, I was the instructional designer for the College of Human Ecology here at the U for 5 years. My areas of interest are in multimedia (especially audio/video) and presence technologies.

I am currently pursuing a DMA in Bass Trombone with a secondary area in music education from the University of Minnesota (currently ABD). I have a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, Program in educational technologies from the University of Minnesota. I also have an M.M. in Trombone Performance from Florida State University, and a B.A. in Music Education from the James Madison University.

When not working I enjoy spending time with my family, playing and listening to music. I also have recently begun trying my hand at entry-level woodworking projects with relatively good outcomes and a lot of fun along the way.
